Fès – Fès railway station witnessed confusion today after a train scheduled to depart for Tangier at 11:15 a.m. failed to leave as planned, prompting frustration among passengers who said they had booked their tickets in advance.
According to testimonies captured in a video received by Fès News, travelers were surprised to learn that no direct train to Tangier was available despite having confirmed electronic reservations. As an alternative, they were reportedly advised to board an Atlas train to Kenitra and then continue to Tangier aboard the Al Boraq high-speed train.
The footage shows dozens of passengers gathered inside the station awaiting clarification about their journeys, amid confusion caused by differing information regarding the available travel alternatives.
The person who recorded the video also stated that several passengers attempted to contact station officials to inquire about the disruption but, according to their account, did not receive clear explanations regarding the reasons for the delay or the cancellation of the scheduled departure.
The incident sparked reactions among travelers, who called for improved communication with passengers, particularly when train schedules are changed or disrupted, in order to provide timely information and avoid confusion inside railway stations.
